Back from conference

We had a lot to celebrate at the autumn conference this year. Our first ever MP, continuing success in our media coverage and also the prospect that next year Norwich city council could be the first Green council. We’ve also seen our membership increase vastly recently. Some put it down to a lib dem exodus but I’d like to think it’s just that our message is finally getting through and we’re seeing more people who are willing to act on climate change and social inequality.

We passed emergency motions to oppose the privatisation of the post office by Vince Cable, to oppose the government White paper on further measures towards privatising the NHS and also to apply maximum pressure on European governments over their treatment of the Roma people.

More to come……
