Sakineh Ashtiani

It appears that Sakineh Ashtiani has not been executed today as feared by a rights group named Avaaz (www.avaaz.org). A report by the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11681837)  today explains that French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner has said that she has not yet been executed.

Amnesty International reports that Sakineh’s lawyer Javid Houtan Kiyan, her son Sajjad Ghaderzadeh and  two German nationals have been arrested. It appears the two German nationals were conducting an interview in Sakineh’s Lawyer’s office when the four were arrested.
